PCI-PAL PLC (AIM: PCIP), the global cloud provider of secure payment solutions for business communications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolyn Rand to the Board as an independent non-executive director, with immediate effect. In addition, Carolyn will chair the audit committee and be supported by Chris Fielding, the current audit chair, during a period of transition. Following this period of transition, it is the intention of Chris Fielding to retire from the Board by the end of the current financial year.

Carolyn brings excellent experience in financial and business leadership, governance and strategy planning across public and private enterprises. Carolyn was recently the CFO of AIM-quoted Bango plc and is currently a non-executive director and audit committee chair of IQGEO plc.  Carolyn is also a Governor and audit committee member of the College of West Anglia. Her operating experience includes senior roles in large multinationals such as Smith & Nephew plc and Sepura plc, and executive roles within high-growth payments, technology and scientific businesses such as Bango, Zinwave and Isogenica.   Carolyn is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Simon Wilson, Chairman, said: "As previously announced by the Company, the Board is committed to ensuring it has succession plans in place for non-executive directors, as well as ensuring that PCI Pal continues to build the necessary range of expertise and skills on the Board to support the achievement of the Group's forward strategic plan.  I am therefore delighted to welcome Carolyn to the Board and to bring her skills and experience to the benefit of our team.

"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Chris Fielding for the impact of his service to the Board as both Chairman and non-executive director over the last 8 years. Chris oversaw the transition of the Group from an outsourced call centre services company to a start-up Cloud company to the rapidly scaling global platform SaaS business that we are today. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank him for his contributions and wish him well."
